New start!

New year, new start!

I finished my studies in Design Engineering, with the presentation of my dissertation in animation expressiveness, at Tuesday.

From 4 January I will be attending The Drawing Academy to prepare my portfolio for animation schools.
I was told that first week will involve yoga and meditation, with 2 hours of drawing for start, only.

Looking forward to a new start! Woohoo!!

Santa gone wild

I did this for a friend. Came up with this wild santa idea as I wanted to do a Christmas theme, but not a simple santa.
I worked on his posture a lot, until getting it right. There were a lot of difficulties with his fingers, his legs, especially his left. Think I've done pretty well...

My first commission! Ahaa

Hello again!
A really intensive period in my life... Dissertation that should be finished by mid-December, french language lessons to prepare for France, and no time to draw!

This is my first commission hoho! A relative of mine asked me to draw two teeth for children in school, one happy and one sad. So I did a little search on the internet to see what other artists had done.

The first"happy" tooth is a collection of ideas, even though not a straight copy of a specific illustration, so I couldn't claim it mine.
The second is completely mine though, that's why it sucks :P The arm is really bad, but I didn't put time into it to correct it.

Impatience

I don't have the patience to finish a self portrait from the mirror... If you notice, there is some evidence of the glasses I was wearing, but I was too lazy to finish them (:
Also noticed that i don't give shape to my shadows, and me thinks me have to!

I watched the politicians' debate and did quick caricature drawings (this was the only reason to watch it). Hope there is some similarity.

3D

I was also said that my drawings are not so three dimensional. I'm working towards fixing it, so here is a yesterday profile portrait

Gestures

Some krappy gestures i'm doing these days, watching football and basketball matches. Not very successful i guess, but some of them are worth, me thinks.
I don't know why the heck the blog resizes the image so small. The actual size is 800x4700

Meself revealed

Tried to do a self-portait in front of the mirror, but i didn't manage to finish it. Was tired of holding the mirror!

I must find a better setup for the mirror!

A bit of a disaster

I saw an image and came with this idea to do a funny DonQuixote...with not so much of a sucess though... Got bored to refine it.

Shitty stuff

Excercising anatomy and face drawing. I like some of ze hands that i drew.

Portrait

I like this one very much! The hair took a long time to do, due to the variety of colours. It's my first time i'm painting hair.
Overall, took plenty, plenty of time to finish, and I'm pretty happy with the result!

If you want your portrait to be done to a printable size, ask me (seriously)! Not without a cost though :)

Caricatures...the first one is of Rihanna. Not much of a similarity though!

Been away for a while

Just realized that the girl's hand in the first drawing is a mess and has ruined the otherwise nice drawing! At least i like it...

One hundred sketches!

This time, i tried to draw from life, people passing by, paying attention to special characteristics and in some cases exaggerating them. There is also an anatomy study.
Everything except from the two girls are from live reference.

This is one good post me thinks...

The girl posing (second pic)...her left arm was so hard to draw and make it appealling! The face is also off place.

The first pic was done for a friend who wanted to make a surprise to her friend. I think it went well, even though i didn't have time to complete the drawing.

P.S. I couldn't resist making a caricature...there are some faces screaming to be caricatured hehe!
