Week 20 - Modeling

This week was awesome! It involved modeling with wire and clay, and i got a completely different, refreshed perspective about drawing!

I really enjoyed clay modeling. We never had the time to refine things, because the most we had was 40 mins, which is very short time for clay modeling, and you can only roughly depict things. I took some pics from some of the things i did this week. The most recent are the first ones:

Week 19

Three more weeks to go for the end of the semester, and I don't like it...

This week we continued with the portait and the full body study, but we haven't finished yet. So, here are three pastel sketches. Pastel is a great tool, by the way! I can't remember how long we spent on each one, though:

Week 18

Not much to show from this week. There is a long full body study and a portrait in progress, so i will show them after i'm finished with them.

Here is a long study that is close to finished for my taste, and a decent croquis:

The Animation Workshop - Bachelor in Character Animation

My application in the Bachelor in Character Animation, at the Animation Workshop was approved!!!
I'm very excited and can't wait to start animating like the old Masters did, the flipbook way!

Big thumbs up to my classical drawing teacher Artem, who helped me develop my drawing skills, as well as Edda, for helping me a lot with my portfolio, especially the acting part!

Now and until the end of the semester here at The Drawing Academy i'll focus on taking the most out of it, and I hope that I can steal time in the future to train more in classical drawing, because it's so interesting!

TDA - Week 17 - Glenn Vilppu Masterclass

It has been an awesome week! Glenn Vilppu is a true Master!! It took me a while to realize that I actually had him as a teacher and that it was me that he was referring to, some times!!

The course was about starting from scratch with the gesture and building the figure on top, first with simple volumes and then gradually more complex. He also explained almost about the whole body anatomy, from the head to the feet.

Things are posted with chronological order, from bottom to top, from Monday to Friday. Grab a cup of cofee, relax, and have fun (I hope!) with this week's stuff!!

Is he alive?

I've been reading theories about Pac being alive, since i started listening to his music, which was about back in '98 or so. And a few days ago that I was searching for photos to do a caricature of him, I read that he is making his appearance at 2014.
What load of BULL!! Who would be fool enough to believe that he is still alive? And if he is, why hasn't he appeared after so many years after his supposed death, back in '96?
The obvious reason behind all this conspiracy theories for 2Pac being alive, is the profit, which the people that exploit his name must be making...

I like his music because he talks about difficulties in life, and even though I don't listen to rap music so much now, sometimes I remember Pac and I put some of his music.

Anyway, it's a period now that I listen to his music, and here is some caricatures of him that I was inspired to do:
